The creation of this book was a layered process, including the forming and documentation of multimedia miniatures, digital collage, and the final construction of 30 editions in print. The diaristic-narrative style text explores solitude and connection within the context of conflicting identities as a student and young parent. These themes are reflected in the atmosphere of the visual content; the somber color palette, and the suggestion of ‘playing house’ created by the inclusion of photos of the artist’s actual living space inhabited by false representations of real community members.
